Fill The Transfer Desk
Starting Badge: Presidential Badge
Description: Transfer Other Agency Members to Our Agency.
Priority: Low-Medium
1) Introduction
2) Filling The Station
3) Doing a Transfer
Now it is not complicated to do a transfer, however in comparision to other stations it does take time and your own brains and some calculations to do this transfer. So first of all one should calmly ask the Transferee(client) to have a seat and then there are the following steps involved.
4)Accepting Badges
5) Training
- Compared to other stations this station has usually no members filling it due to 3 reasons. Low population, Dislike to Transfer and the last being Not knowing how to transfer. With this section NOPD hopes the staff learns to remove the last 2 reasons. This station aims at giving a fair rank at equal par to the other agency member and not a higher one to attract them.
2) Filling The Station
- Firstly it is not at all cumpulsory to fill this station when FTF,FTS and FTT are empty. This station is to be filled only when there is substantial staff working at the other stations. However not filling this station does not mean not doing a transfer. If someone wants to transfer, the transferer should rush to their aid.
3) Doing a Transfer
Now it is not complicated to do a transfer, however in comparision to other stations it does take time and your own brains and some calculations to do this transfer. So first of all one should calmly ask the Transferee(client) to have a seat and then there are the following steps involved.
- Step I: Checking their agency: It is very important to be checking the agency from which the transferee wishes to transfer. Now this is important as certain agency members are either not allowed to transfer to NOPD or they are allowed only upto a certain rank. These agency names are given on the Transfer Gate through a wired or at stickies in the base. If they are not there check the website forums.
- Step II: Checking their first standard badge: Always check the first badge of the transferee. If the first badge does not have 500 members or more deny the transfer. Also at the same time click the badge and search the transferee's name in members. This will enable you to understand when did the person join that agency. If that person's name shows he/she joined the agency and has not completed a week there then ask them to come after they complete a week. For e.g: If they completed 4 days ask them to come 3 days later.
- Step III: Security Verification: This is needed to ensure the person hasn't been a defaulter of the transfer system. Many times people come to get higher ranks or are tainted ex employees of NOPD who were caught SP'ing or transferring for higher ranks or double jobbing. Their names are given on stickies or on the website forums. Remember to check that out.
- Step IV: Calculating the Right Rank: This is the area many people fail at. So here is the way to give the right rank to a transferee.
- Be organized: Ask the transferee his/her agency's official website and then open the rank list of NOPD. Keep this ready. Remember to tell the transferee to be patient.
- Counting: Now count till the badge the transferee is at in his/her agency. WARNING: Remember to consider the ranks that have priveliges and the ranks that are joint. For eg: Some agencies give RR and admin at a early rank while some give it late. Also in NOPD Security and Training are selective, i.e One has to choose between them, however some agencies don't keep it selective.
- Choosing a rank : After above consideration . For eg: OOA is the 9TH rank badge of SS and however OOA is 12th here. Now you cannot offer OOA here but you can offer SR which is the 9th badge here. Now what factors were considered? Government here is the HR+ level for which founder's permission is needed and it is the 8 ranks away from SR. Similarly OOA is 8 ranks away from Leadership in SS which is equivalent to Government in NOPD. This shows SR and OOA(in SS) are at par.
- Step V: Offering The Rank: Put the offer before the transferee and explain your calculation. Then there will be usual negotiations and bargaining but do not bend too much and offer a rank too high. Also do not be unreasonable and offer a rank too low. If the rank is not in your transfer limit (check the site), report it to a rank who can transfer or ask the transferee to come later.
- Step VI: Instructions for the transferee:
- Badge & Motto: Make the transferee put the appropriate motto along with [AB] on it. Then make them join the first badge of NOPD.
- Leave Badge: Tell them to Leave all badges and return to the base. When they return check if they left all badges. Then escort them to the front desks and tell the officer's to let them in.
- Uniform(as per rank): If their rank demands the uniform escort them to the teleport hallway and make them wear the uniform. When they are done get them seated at FTB.
4)Accepting Badges
- Now your work isn't over. It is not the transferee's job to run for his/her badges. Note their name and rank and go to the nearest person with admin and tell them to accept. If there is no admin in base wait till one comes on and tell them to accept it. Do not leave the transferee in confusion. If he/she goes offline still go get his/her badges accepted.
5) Training
- The Final Part is Training the Transferee. Now you do not need to train as you train a recruit. You colud simply ask them to go on the site and read the recruit training script and if they are Training+ then the Training Trainer's script.
- A tour of the base is the icing on the cake. The Transferee feels more at home and you just got NOPD a new member who has experience.
