Introduction:
NOPD is divided into 4 sections.
The Lower Ranks(Officer I[Identification]-Head of D&F[D&F]),
The Intermediate Ranks(Head Of Alliances[SR]-Sherrif[IA]),
The Higher Ranks (Committee Secretary[Govt]-TCRM[TCM]),
The Elective Ranks & Founders[CM Badge+]
However the Lower Ranks here do not mean the above Lower Ranks. These lower ranks means any rank lower then your rank. Its is very important to know how to behave with your Lower Ranks.
How To Behave:
Now it is common sense that the first rule of NOPD is to address your higher ranks as sir/maam. However just the way we give respect to higher ranks we should also give respect to Lower Ranks. Does that mean call the Lower ranks as sir or maam? No. It means behaving with them just as you would behave with your superior. You should be kind, helping and loving towards Lower Ranks. They will often look upto you for advice and help which you must give to the best of your ability. Also you should promote deserving lower ranks when they need promotions. Do not promote those who are close to you or those who ask you a promotion. Treat them like friends and do not be bossy with them. They are not your servants, they are protected employees of NOPD. Being rude or bossy will bring your respect in their eyes down. And one day when you will leave NOPD there will be more joys then tears.
Lower Ranks Issues:
1. Promotion Issue: Deserving Lower Ranks should be promoted when they are in your rank limit and when they have earned that promotion and they have not asked for one. Promote them ONLY 1 RANK above their usual one. Over Promoting is not good and at times can also be mistaken as self promotion. Do not give a promotion if the previous promotion was too soon. Do not give a promotion for the work done a day earlier. Also a very important thing is if its a badge level up promotion where the Lower Rank is getting a promotion which takes him to another badge division, make them request the new badge and tell them to put [AB] in their motto along with the new rank motto and tag. Then if is there a new uniform for the division take them to the teleport hallway where the uniforms are kept and give them the correct uniform. Now their work is done. ITS YOUR JOB To go to an admin to get their badge accepted and not theirs. Tell the admin to accept their badge when the admin comes on and tell the LR to be patient and wait for the acceptence. Even if you come on the next day as you could not contact an admin the previous day either tell another HR who witnessed the promotion to get it accepted or come back the next day with the name of the person you promoted. Do not forget to note this in your forums log. Then tell the LR to remove AB from their motto.
2. Demotion Issue: The strike system should be used. First give a warning for misbehaviour or etc reasons. Then give the first strike incase the warning was not heeded by the defaulter. In case a second strike is given demote the defaulter a few ranks depending on the offence and log it in your log and also inform a founder. In case of strike 3, inform the founder about the whole decision and the founder will take action.
